It's been a while...

Well, A LOT has happened since the last time I blogged. It's definitely time for an update!
As you can see from the last post, we both graduated from MC and we got married! In the past few months since that - so many things have happened! You would get bored and quit reading this post if I wrote about everything in detail, so instead I thought it would be fun to catch up on the life of the Nutts with pictures and captions! Enjoy :)

and one night we all hung out together!

I was slightly obsessed with our cake and flowers!  I didn't want the normal everyday
roses and round cake. They turned out PERFECT!

At the reception, we had a Fotobooth set up thanks to the best photographer ever - Robby Followell. The best serious pose picture we have ever taken!

One week away!

It's so hard to believe, but we are one week away from getting married!

Since our last post, so much has happened! We graduated from MC on May 8th, I went on a bachelorette trip with a few of my bridesmaids, Jonathan went on a bachelor trip with his groomsmen and Jonathan started working full time at MC! It's been a crazy month and the wedding is almost here! Jonathan also moved in to a temporary apartment in College Plaza apartments which are part of Mississippi College and we will move in to the Resident Director Apartment around the 1st of July. Therefore, we've been busy... and become expert movers.

We have been running around like crazy trying to finish all of the last minute wedding details, but we think it's all coming together. I just wanted to update since we haven't since the middle of April. We will be staying busy up until next week finishing up last minute things and packing for Jamaica!

We hope to see you at the wedding!

I have a job after graduation!

Hey everyone!

This is Jonathan writing to tell everyone about some recent news in my life! After a few months of waiting, hoping and praying, it is official that I will be working at MC (Mississippi College) next year!

Anna and I will be moving to College Plaza apartments in July where I will be a Resident Director. For those of you who don't know, College Plaza is a part of MC Residence Life but is not actually on campus- it's about a block away. I will also be working about 30 hours per week in the Office of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs where I've been working for the past several years. I will continue to do a lot of the stuff I've been doing- publications, preparing presentations, working on the new student website, etc.

As for this summer, in between the wedding, honeymoon and other travels, I will be working full time in that office at MC. We are both very excited that I have something next year. Also, I will be able to start work on a graduate degree in the fall since I will be employed full time by MC. We are both very thankful to MC (for hiring me) and of course to God for answering our prayers about post-graduation employment.

So, there's my good news! Only three more full weeks until graduation and then only a month after that, we're getting married- it's all almost here!

An Update from Anna

Hey everybody! It's Anna...

Life has been crazy lately. Between finishing school, campus events, work, a couple of trips to Nashville, and working on the wedding, we haven't had a lot of free time! I can't believe we are almost done with school (just 28 days now)! After graduation, I'm going to Destin with several of my bridesmaids and I'm so excited! It's going to be wonderful to just relax and have fun with friends before coming back to get everything ready for the wedding!

A couple of weeks ago, my bridesmaids threw my very first wedding shower. We got things such as glasses, several of our every day plates, our KitchenAid blender and mixer, a vacuum, and so much more! We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. But the best part of the whole weekend was that one of my best friends and bridesmaids who goes to school in Florida, flew home and surprised me! I think everyone but me knew Lawren was coming home. Jonathan even knew and he's horrible at keeping secrets from me!

In the next few weeks, we have several more showers, so I'm really looking forward to those as well!

Here are a few pictures from my shower:

All my hostesses, me and my mom

Emily, my wonderful sister and maid of honor
Me, my sis, and mom

Lawren, my bridesmaid who came home and surprised me!

Opening presents!

Wonderful Laguna friends that came!
Jonathan's mom, me, and my mom

Family - grandmother, me, sis and mom!

There will be lots to blog about in the next few weeks, so I'm sure we'll be updating soon!

Love ya'll!

April is here!

Hey everyone... Jonathan writing.

I never updated to let you know about my Spring Break tasks! Well, I accomplished all of the things on that list... except for reading a book. But that one was not a definite. So, I'm still proud of myself.

Since then, we have been to Nashville twice where my parents are moving- once over Spring Break and once over Easter weekend/my birthday weekend. We also got through Spring Fever Week at MC which was a big week with events I was in charge of every night! It was fun, but I'm glad it's over! We've also been working on getting invitations ready to send out, as well as wedding favors. AND, Anna had her first shower which she plans to blog about and post pictures of soon.

So, we've been busy and believe it or not, we are both graduating in 31 days! We are both excited and nervous. I am pretty sure I have secured employment for post-graduation, but I will know for sure soon and hopefully be able to let everyone in on it!

Here are a few pictures from Easter weekend- enjoy!

Spring Break!

Hello world!

This is Jonathan writing... I'm currently in the airport in Kansas City waiting for a plane. I came to Kansas City with my friend Robert who is also editor of the MC yearbook. We toured the yearbook plant and learned how the yearbooks get made and now we are headed home.

It's spring break (which I'm very thankful for) and if you know me, you know I always make lists and set goals for myself and this week is no different! I wanted to share my goals with the blogging world so that hopefully someone asks me if I got them accomplished. So... Here they are:

1. I want to apply for at least 6 jobs and maybe up to 8! I already have several I'm planning on applying for, but I need to find a few more. This goal is a must since graduation is less than 2 months away.

2. Help Anna with wedding stuff which includes:
- helping her with the wedding favors (which we actually have already done a lot)
- ordering the invitations and helping Anna finish the handmade part of them
- finding out where we will be renting the wedding tuxes and lettig my groomsmen and ushers know
- paying for and picking up our wedding rings

3. File my taxes!

4. Get some stuff done for CAB especially spring fever week and the movie night coming up (for those of you who don't know- the MC SGA and CAB will be showing The Blind Side on the brick streets on Friday, March 26th so come out to see it- MC students or Clinton residents!)

5. My goal was to read a book over the break, but I'm still not sure if I'll be able to do that... We will see!

As far as other plans, Anna and I might be going to the Nashville area to see my parents at the end of the week! So, that's my spring break!

So, if you see me after spring break, keep me accountable and ask me if I met my goals!

Our New Apartment!

We have finally taken some pictures of our apartment! Jonathan is already living in the apartment and I will be moving in June after the wedding! We have done some decorating, but there is still a lot to do! So for all of you who have kept saying you want to see the apartment, here is the official photo tour! Sorry this is such a long post, but there are several pics to look at!

Below those pictures are some pictures from a recent DIY project we did!

Apartment D-7... and Jonathan's shadow!

The living room! The bigger couch will be coming when I move out of my apartment in May.

The kitchen table! Ignore those ugly curtains- cute ones coming soon!

The sides of the kitchen!

My daisies which Jonathan gave me for my birthday!

The microwave cart!

Bathroom!

The bedroom! Ignore the blue bedding... that will change when I move in!

The office / extra bedroom!

Wedding stuff in the extra bedroom! Lots to do over spring break!

My grandparents recently gave us these two old chairs and table to put on our front porch at our apartment. We used this beautiful weekend to paint the chairs! Here are the before and after photos:

Me painting... I'm a much better spray painter than Jonathan... :)
