I have a job after graduation!

Hey everyone!

This is Jonathan writing to tell everyone about some recent news in my life! After a few months of waiting, hoping and praying, it is official that I will be working at MC (Mississippi College) next year!

Anna and I will be moving to College Plaza apartments in July where I will be a Resident Director. For those of you who don't know, College Plaza is a part of MC Residence Life but is not actually on campus- it's about a block away. I will also be working about 30 hours per week in the Office of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs where I've been working for the past several years. I will continue to do a lot of the stuff I've been doing- publications, preparing presentations, working on the new student website, etc.

As for this summer, in between the wedding, honeymoon and other travels, I will be working full time in that office at MC. We are both very excited that I have something next year. Also, I will be able to start work on a graduate degree in the fall since I will be employed full time by MC. We are both very thankful to MC (for hiring me) and of course to God for answering our prayers about post-graduation employment.

So, there's my good news! Only three more full weeks until graduation and then only a month after that, we're getting married- it's all almost here!

An Update from Anna

Hey everybody! It's Anna...

Life has been crazy lately. Between finishing school, campus events, work, a couple of trips to Nashville, and working on the wedding, we haven't had a lot of free time! I can't believe we are almost done with school (just 28 days now)! After graduation, I'm going to Destin with several of my bridesmaids and I'm so excited! It's going to be wonderful to just relax and have fun with friends before coming back to get everything ready for the wedding!

A couple of weeks ago, my bridesmaids threw my very first wedding shower. We got things such as glasses, several of our every day plates, our KitchenAid blender and mixer, a vacuum, and so much more! We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. But the best part of the whole weekend was that one of my best friends and bridesmaids who goes to school in Florida, flew home and surprised me! I think everyone but me knew Lawren was coming home. Jonathan even knew and he's horrible at keeping secrets from me!

In the next few weeks, we have several more showers, so I'm really looking forward to those as well!

Here are a few pictures from my shower:

All my hostesses, me and my mom

Emily, my wonderful sister and maid of honor
Me, my sis, and mom

Lawren, my bridesmaid who came home and surprised me!

Opening presents!

Wonderful Laguna friends that came!

Family - grandmother, me, sis and mom!

There will be lots to blog about in the next few weeks, so I'm sure we'll be updating soon!

Love ya'll!
-Anna

April is here!

Hey everyone... Jonathan writing.

I never updated to let you know about my Spring Break tasks! Well, I accomplished all of the things on that list... except for reading a book. But that one was not a definite. So, I'm still proud of myself.

Since then, we have been to Nashville twice where my parents are moving- once over Spring Break and once over Easter weekend/my birthday weekend. We also got through Spring Fever Week at MC which was a big week with events I was in charge of every night! It was fun, but I'm glad it's over! We've also been working on getting invitations ready to send out, as well as wedding favors. AND, Anna had her first shower which she plans to blog about and post pictures of soon.

So, we've been busy and believe it or not, we are both graduating in 31 days! We are both excited and nervous. I am pretty sure I have secured employment for post-graduation, but I will know for sure soon and hopefully be able to let everyone in on it!

Here are a few pictures from Easter weekend- enjoy!
